The Allpaka Collection Difference

What makes us different?

-> Socially and Ethically Responsible Fur: We only work with Alpaca (Huacaya and Suri) hides which are protected by the Peruvian government and all animals have died of natural causes.

-> Manufacturer to exporter: We oversee the whole production line- hide selection, treating and tanning the hides, dying the hides, finished product, logistics for shipping and after purchase customer service.

-> Chemical free process: We only use anticancerogenic cleaning agents free of chrome from Germany and ecological dyes of the highest quality from France, so that our products can be suitable for babies and children. The German cleaning agents are being controlled and certified twice a year by German engineers.

-> Semi Industrialized Process: What sets us most apart from the competition is our tanning process. We have imported machines from Brazil programmed specifically on treating and softening the Alpaca fur hides as well as to standardize the quality of the hides.

-> Exportation since 2005: Our clients are from New Zealand, Korea, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, France, United States, Canada, China, Japan.

-> Quality Control: We pride ourselves in the quality of our tanned furs and our finished products. We do extensive quality control checks prior to shipping any final products to clients.

-> Innovation: We always strive to innovate in our design, to keep current on all the fashion trends and to improve our manufacturing process so that our products are truly the best on the market!

-> Design: Our Creative Director, who studied and worked in the USA and Europe, designs all our creations. In addition to our own unique designs, we also collaborate with various brands and designers to add touches of Alpaca Fur to make their creations exceptional.

We believe in offering the best quality material and design in order to serve YOU better!

What makes our alpaca hides more unique than the competition?

-> Our hides are more thoroughly cleaned and therefore odorless: After having collected the hides of the naturally deceased animals, the farmers sell us the hide and we treat them through an extensive cleaning process that removes all grease and any possible bacteria (Brazilian machinery and German chrome-free cleaning agents). This allows the properties of the alpaca to remain intact while removing the strong odor given by alpaca hides.

-> Our hides are more malleable: We have specialized machines from Brazil to soften the malleability of the skin so there isn’t that toughness commonly associated with Alpaca hide.

-> Our colors are untransferable: Because the oil has been removed from the hide in the cleaning process, it makes it possible for the ecological dyes (French dyes) to properly attach themselves to the fibers thus making it untransferable to other materials it comes in contact with.

-> Our colors are following the latest market trends: We have developed a color palette that will appeal to a wide variety of clients, just as much in the fashion industry as in the textile and furniture industry.

Our 2018-2019 Colors are based on the 2018-2019 Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report; a color overview highlighting the top colors fashion designers showing at Fashion Week will be featuring in their collections for the upcoming season.

For this year’s new colors, our focus was on autumnal hues, vibrant colors with a mix of classic tones.

From poppy red to sea green and everything in between, we can color match to meet your needs!

We are currently the only manufacturers in Peru who go to these extreme lengths to standardize and improve the quality of the raw material.
